The Cascina Colombo Pastori estate is located in Bubbio, a pretty village perched on a rocky terrace.
The village castle overlooks the Asti Langa slopes and hills, so dear to Cesare Pavese. This picturesque landscape, which charms and inspires, is the setting for the vineyards around the farm that are home to historical grape varieties. Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Moscato d’Asti, planted among hills covered with rich and lush forests, stretching to the Ligurian Apennines, the natural border with the coastal province of Savona.
The 9 hectares of land (5 planted with Pinot Noir, 2.5 with Chardonnay and 1.5 with Moscato d’Asti) are ideally positioned within a vast amphitheatre of hills facing south-east with constant ventilation and optimal temperature ranges. The vineyards are situated in soils consisting mainly of marl and limestone of marine origin.
